This is the first time I got so close to a wild dog that I could capture its eyes. The hyena was talking to the other wild dog telling him to get a kill so they can have breakfast. Hyenas are scavengers. They let other animals to do the hard work first and then arrive on the scene to take the remains. It's a very efficient system.
Here's are a few pictures I just took. I was testing lenses for my trip to Africa. I wasn't there to get the birds or anything, I was just testing my lens. It was so foggy, I could hardly see. I could hear the birds but couldn't see them. The bird on the branch was shot with my 400 lens - this bird was way up there. It was my testing shot.
